To add to the overall discussion, here are some opinions from a 20+ year fan of the genre and Rye’s work. 1. I am a HUGE fan of Rye. He made two of the greatest Supergirl videos I’ve ever seen–the first video with Cassidy in 1984 (LOVED the water sequence) and Cassidy in Doomsday (the beat downs were amazing). 100% agree, due to the fact the budget for movies in this genre is small theres only so much that can be done. Im a huge fan of the Supergirl TV show, but most episodes actually have very little in the way of peril and fighting; its still a great show but I doubt Id be such a big fan if I had to pay to see it. Ryes movies have plenty of fighting, though the peril element isnt to everyones liking, but theyre still great Superheroine movies!
Could not agree with you more Sugarcoater. Budgets, and props limit what can be done in this genre. With improved technology, producers like TBFE, Rye, Lucia have added really good FX to the videos. But no two videos are exactly alike and I but them not just for the script……there is the model’s, the character portrayed and the peril. So keep the flag flying guys….there is a silent majority out there who really appreciates your work

I bought this video because of the “recording” camera work, and the actress is proven to be quite good at selling the perils. The video is not the best work out there, but if is far from the worse video. I don’t regret the purchase. So many arguments happening on this thread. Both sides are right imo. The main thing people seem to overlook is that this is a fetish, which by nature is a sexual fixation on specific stimuli. There is a lot of crossover with other kinks, and we’ve grown accustomed to a high level of production and attendant story elements, but at the end of the day, if the video has a hot chick in a sexy sueprheroine outfit getting defeated and nailed, or even dominated rather than raped outright, enough of the fetishists will buy it.

I disagree with you about Primal. Some of their videos are the same, but they also come up with new ideas. Check out Nightwing and Batwoman – Enslaved Sluts to the Mindflayer XXX. It is the best SHIP video this year in my opinion. It great psychological peril. There’s no chloroform, knockouts, or kryptonite weakness in the video.

Those are not repeats. Just because two heroines fall does not mean the videos are the same. An evil spirit takes control of Liberty and Justice. Mindflyer uses magic to manipulate heroines’ actions, emotions, and psychological state. The Purple Man is the same as his comic book character with the power to control people. “Fausta perils,” “magic cloth,” “a special cloth treatment,” etc. are all euphemisms the producers have to use because card service providers get very squeamish about the term “chloroform.” There’s similar shenanigans around rape scenes, even though they’re just actors on a screen.
Any movie in this genre starring Alexis Monroe is a must see, this incredibly lovely lady always gives a great performance and handles every aspect with great aplomb. Tbh its a well done film, as always alexis is great. Barehanded is darcie dolce as alpha girl and was announced in may this year , fingers crossed its situation has not turned out like lana rhodes overconfidence which had problems and took a long time to come out. There is a lexi supergirl movie with her in a white costume and that was announced with marvelous nightmare. I still cant wait for the superia movie with alexis, she suits that outfit well. I agree no one should complain about a customer ordering a custom. They can leave the customer out of their complaints. However, we don’t know why the same actress is constantly being chosen. There can be a number of factors. Is RYE constantly recommending her? Was she the only model available at the time? Maybe all of these customers only want to see her, and that’s fine. Actually with the last custom I did with Rye (Marvelous Nightmare) we went through quite a few different options of actresses, both stalwarts in our niche an new girls from the mainstream porn world. Unfortunately a few of the options didn’t work out, a few didn’t appeal to me and in the end Rye recommended Lexi and I never regretted that. Hey, that’s a good idea. If we all stream (although you don’t condone that, just referencing that you’ve come across many HIP videos posted on bootleg sites WINK WINK MOTHERFUCKERS) the videos and share them, we can make sure that no more videos that we don’t like are made!
