You act like producers dictate those same plotlines over and over again? Are you aware that most SHIP productions are written and paid for by fans? Producers are not dictating stories / scripts most of the time. The stories you constantly complain about are coming from fans. How about putting your money where your mouth is instead of bitching? Or if you are a broke piece of crap, how about at least writing your own story and posting it somewhere online? Maybe a fan will like your “ideal concept” and pay to get it produced.
so by that logic, if the producer has no input, why do we praise the producer when the video is good, but when its bad they just hide behind “it was a custom!” that doesn’t make any sense.
also seems odd that only creative fans pay TBFE and Lucia to make a video, and the unimaginative crowd goes to RYE… or is it perhaps producers like TBFE and Lucia add their own director’s touch to it?

I think Rye,Damien, and Lucia do a mixture of customs and their own plots with a majority of movies being their own plots. On the other hand, I think The Battle for Earth only does customs.
