“Atomic Kickass” from Kick Ass Kandy

Kick Ass Kandy has released a new film today and it’s a little weird. That’s not an insult. The plot just isn’t your standard KAK fare.

Maybe “different” would describe it better. I have a feeling it’s a custom catered to someones specific tastes as I don’t think it takes place in the normal KAK universe.

It stars the actress that usually plays Cat, but she’s referred to as April in the film. There’s also a big supernatural undertone to the story. There’s a sorceress, some body switching/possession going on, and even a debooting of the new Kandygirl Haywire.

The fight scenes are the normal quality, just the tone of the story is altered. Oh, and although it’s rare to see in a KAK film, there’s a female/female fight. A very one-sided female/female fight if you’re wondering, where Cat’s best attacks are basically ignored by Haywire. Here’s some info about the film from the site:

When 2 spies head out to destroy an evil Sorceress they find themselves ill equipped for her kickass combat strength but they have a secret that could eventually destroy her…if they can survive her devastating kicks and punches.

Supermodel Cat and her thigh high boots are back in kick ass fight action and the high kicking Haywire impresses on her debut. Watch for the twists and turns as both girls devastate their male opponents.

I’ve always though of Cat as one of the most beautiful and most underrated Kandygirls, and it’s great to have her back after a pretty long absence. She does good work here playing both good and evil sides to her character.

As for Haywire, it’s a nice first appearance. Another fine casting for Kandyman. No surprise there.
